Joyce Park - Home of the HAWKS -
The New Helicopter Field
Joyce Park now sports one of the Nations few Radio Control Helicopter only fields. Construction goes into full swing this March as we install chain link fencing , parking lot barriers and assembly tables. Two separate flight lines allow plenty of flying and plenty of space for sport, scale, or 3D flying. The field will be open dawn to dusk 7 days a week.
All pilots must have a current AMA card and display it at all times in the pilots board. Flying is restricted to 2.4GHZ only -no exceptions. This is a really great opportunity for the HAWKS to promote model aviation and of course specifically model helicopters.
As helicopter membership grows I believe this flying field will develop into the Country's premier helicopter site. Something the HAWKS will surely be proud of. We need the support of all HAWK members. Together we will make this a great year.

Welcome to the Hawks Website
The HAWKS Radio Control Club was formed in the fall of 1977 by a small group of dedicated model airplane enthusiasts. Bob Smorey was the club founder and its first elected president in 1978. The HAWKS have administered several flying sites within Joyce Park and currently run our new facility on Joe Nuxall Way. A helicopter only site is currently being developed by the HAWKS at the old flying field across the street.
